In this module, we dive deep into the psychological and emotional roots that drive addictive behaviour, specifically related to cannabis use. The goal is to help you understand that addiction is not a moral failing or a chronic brain disease. Rather, it is often a coping mechanism or emotional crutch used to manage unresolved emotional pain or stress.

In this module, we explore the connection between trauma and addiction, specifically focusing on how unresolved emotional wounds can drive the cycle of cannabis abuse, dependence or addiction. This bonus module was created for those of you that resonate with having ADHD and have not been diagnosed. If you identify with ADHD traits, this module will offer valuable insights into the connection between ADHD and cannabis use. However, if you do not have ADHD or feel it does not apply to your situation, you may skip this module.

Understanding your “why” is key to staying motivated throughout this journey, as willpower alone is often not enough. When you have a clear vision of what’s at stake—your health, relationships, and overall well-being—you’ll find the strength to face any challenge with greater resilience.

In this module, we explore the fundamental concepts of cravings and triggers—two key elements that you will inevitably have to face on your journey to becoming Free From Cannabis. You’ll learn how cravings are strong urges to smoke or vape, varying in intensity but lasting only 10-15 minutes if not acted upon. Understanding how to ride these cravings like waves is crucial for building resilience.
